The River Cruises might appear in the Yugra region along the Ob-Irtysh water system

Roman Chesnokov, the executive of the Federal Government Institution "Administration of the Ob-Irtysh water-system" has shared his perspective on the project of the touristic route on the comfortable liner through the water system from Irtish to Salekhard. He highly considers the possibility that the regional capital might become the center of the river cruise tourism.

"The city is a center of the event and business tourism in Yugra", — states Roman Chesnokov — "It has the developed tourism and transport infrastructure". Though, the river capacities in the tourism sphere are underused. Maxim Ryashin, the head of the city, considers that the spectrum of the offered tourism services in Khanty-Mansiysk can be expanded utilizing the river resources.

Another advantage of the city for further tourism development is the accessibility of the urban environment for people with disabilities and families with small children.
