Muslim Film Festival in Kazan

Kazan welcomes Muslim Film Festival

The 7th annual Muslim Film Festival got started this week in the city of Kazan, the capital of Russia's Tatarstan republic.

The festival's contest program includes 60 films from 29 countries and 31 films will be shown out of competition.

In light of the Russia-Italy cross cultural year, the festival will be attended by Italian film star Ornella Muti.

The schedule of events associated with the festival also includes workshops, a mini festival of amateur films and a Muslim fashion show.
