Rodin Exhibition at Peter and Paul Fortress

Works by Auguste Rodin (1840 - 1917) can be seen in St. Petersburg at the Peter and Paul Fortress in an exhibition of arguably the 19th century's greatest sculptor. 

Auguste Rodin has been acclaimed as the greatest sculptor since Michelangelo. Rodin's innovative style and modeling technique earned him praise as the greatest sculptor of the 19th century. Rodin's works embody such emotions as love, hate and despair shown through his expressive sculptures of the human body.

The exhibition, which features such masterpieces as The Thinker, The Burghers of Calais, Eternal Spring, The Kiss, The Age of Bronze, as well as 137 drawings and sketches of the artist, is being held at the Atrium inside the Peter and Paul Fortress. 

This exhibition comes highly recommened if you have the chance to visit St. Petersburg this summer. The exhibition will be on display until the 14th of August.
