Russia Celebrates National Flag Day

The white, blue and red tricolor flag was restored as the national flad of Russia on Aug. 22, 1991, three years later in 1994 president Boris Yeltsin made this day national Flag Day.

In the capital of Moscow several events are to be held to mark the country's national Flag Day, the main event being a concert on Teatralnaya Ploshad. 

The city will also be decorated with large Russian flags displayed on many buildings and streets throughout the city.
