EasyJet Begins Moscow to London Flight

EasyJet began flying between London's Gatwick airport and Moscow's Domodedovo Tusday the 19th and so far so good, as EasyJet CEO Carolyn McCall points out that bookings have already exceeded expectations and it would be surprising if the airline didn't break even after the first year.

The cost to fly between Moscow and the UK has now been significantly reduced. The EasyJet flight will start out at $99.99 for a one-way ticket, currently with one flight per day departing Domodedovo at 2:30 p.m., with a second flight schedule to start on April 15th leaving domodedovo at 9:40 p.m. Annual passenger flow is expected to be around 300,000.

Competitors flights are much more expensive, with a two-way fligh on Aeroflot costing $368 and $503 on British Airways from Moscow to London.

Furthermore, Easyjet will launch another route from Moscow to Manchester later this week!

The next step to make travel between Russian and the UK easier for both sides will be to ease visa restrictions between the two countries!
