Bring back and old tradition.

The Moscow Polytechnic Museum, which was founded in 1872 and is the largest technical museum in Russia, has decided to bring back an old tradition of holding educational lectures, concerts and nights of poetry. The museum was once widely known for its prominent lectures and concerts, as well as poetry readings.

To kick off the the revival of the tradition the museum is holding a series of historical concerts. This weekend the tradition got back underway with a special tribute to Anton Rubinsein and Sergei Rakhamaninov, who are considered the originators of the educational concerts.

When you're visiting Moscow, keep your eyes open for the Moscow Polytechnic Museum, and in addition to their interesting collection dipicting the progress of Soviet and Russian technology, pay attention to the schedule of events.
